What does Pet Dophilus® do?

Pet Dophilus® is a probiotic formulation of four species designed specifically for the intestinal health of your pet. Among the dominant intestinal flora of cats and dogs are the Lactobacillus rhamnosus and E. faecium, which comprise 80% of the probiotics in Pet Dophilus®. Bifidobacterium longum and B. pseudolongum are also found in the flora of cats and dogs. Pet Dophilus® is in a base of Metabolin®, whey protein, and Vitamin C. Metabolin® provides key metabolites of propionic acid bacteria and nutritionally supports immune function and supports the action of the live lactic acid bacteria in Pet Dophilus®.* Whey protein is a probiotic food that is included to promote the growth of the live bacteria.

Suggested Usage:

Probiotic supplement for cats and dogs. Mix the following quantity daily into food:
For cats and small dogs: 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 to 1.0 g)
For medium size dogs: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (1.0 to 2.0 g)
For large size dogs: 1/2 to 1 full teaspoon (2.0 to 4.0 g)
