The New Year is a perfect time for new beginnings and happy endings. As Freshlife welcomes in 2008, it is a time of fresh starts and final finishes and also of things that remain unchanged. On Thursday, December 27, the Road 2 Health radio program was broadcast for the last time. I want to thank all of you who were loyal listeners of the program. I am grateful for the years I spent doing the show and for the opportunity to make many new friends and learn from some wonderful and brilliant people. The decision was necessary to allow room for the unfolding of things to come. As much as I enjoy radio, I really prefer to see my audience face to face…to stand at the lectern and look in people’s eyes as understanding dawns and new truths are realized. I look forward to presenting a series of seminars this year – starting on Tuesday, January 8th with an encore of “Where to Begin” – a 2-hour Power Point presentation for anyone who wants to be healthier but just doesn’t know, well, where to begin (see pg 7 for additional information). Additional seminars and classes and many unique opportunities for discovery and healing will unfold with the seasons.
The era of Freshnews, our monthly newsletter, has also ended. We are very excited about the new publication (that you are now reading!) and its evolution to magazine status. Not only does this monthly periodical deserve to be called a magazine, it also has a new name – Options. That one word embodies our passion and our mission – equipping you to create health – by presenting you with options and encouraging you to expand your knowledge and exercise your power of choice in caring for your health and the health of your children.
Another change can be found on www.freshlife.com. Our new web site awaits your exploration. The site is an ongoing work in progress as we will continually expand the reference library and provide a place for you to find trustworthy information and answers to your questions.
Several things will not change. One of those is FreshMail, our daily e-letter. Each weekday, you can receive an email from us – an article or recipe or health tip or announcement of an upcoming event. To subscribe, simply visit the web site and sign up.
The most important constant in this New Year is our commitment to you. As Freshlife enters its 27th year, we do so by God’s grace and your trust in us. We do not take these for granted. The grace is a gift for which we are humbly grateful and your trust is something we strive continually earn and be worthy of. We have exciting plans for 2008 as we partner with you to create healthier people and a healthier community and reach out to do our part for a healthier world. Happy New Year from the entire Freshlife staff.
