“Wow! Look at those beauties!”

“Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow.”
Edward Sandford Martin

That was my exclamation as we unloaded the big organic produce order, complete with two cases of the most plump, red, beautiful organic cranberries I’ve ever laid eyes on. As Freshlife’s little baker, I immediately had visions of the orange cranberry muffins, white chocolate cranberry bars, and pumpkin cranberry cookies I could create.

As you prepare your Thanksgiving feast, consider how you might include some of these amazing, nutritious, delicious cranberries to the menu. Use them to add beauty and flavor to stuffing, freeze them and let them float in a bowl of orange punch, make some homemade cranberry relish, add cranberries to cole slaw, add a handful to the apples in your pie for an extra special dessert, or use cranberries with your leftover turkey for a unique and delicious lunch the next day. (see recipe below)

However you choose to use them, I hope you’ll stop by Freshlife this week for a bag of fresh organic cranberries. While you're there, pick up some spices, fresh nutmeats, and maybe some soup or a tasty side dish from our deli, and allow us to wish you a “Happy Thanksgiving”!
