Kids and cell phones

“The blood brain barrier, which protects the brain from invasion of toxins, can be compromised by cell phone radiation." Dr. George Carlo

An article published in the U.K. Mirror entitled “What Cell Phones Can Do To A Youngster’s Brain in 2 Minutes” reported that scientists have discovered that a cell phone call lasting just two minutes could alter the natural electrical activity of a child’s brain for up to an hour afterwards. In the past it had been thought that interference with brain waves and brain chemistry stopped when the call ended.

The following concerns about children’s exposure to EMF’s have been cited in the research:

  • EMF’s may be more detrimental to children’s health during the development and maturation of their central nervous system, immune system and critical organs.
  • Infants and young children will be exposed to EMF’s for a much greater part of their lifespan than today’s adults.
  • Spanish scientists found THAT radio waves from mobile phones penetrate deep into a child’s brain (and not just around the ear) affecting brain activity.

Dr. George Carlo, author of Cell Phones – An Invisible Hazard in the Wireless Age, found
that fifty percent of a 5 year old’s brain and 30% of a 10 year old’s brain are penetrated with EMF waves.

Consider this. What if, instead of newer and better drugs for the pervasive learning and behavior challenges among today’s youngest generation, we began by simply keeping children away from cell phones?
